Representative French Hill, chairman of the financial-services panel, emphasized the legislation’s potential to deliver "much-needed regulatory clarity." His counterpart on the agriculture committee, Representative Glenn "GT" Thompson, highlighted the bill’s dual focus on fostering innovation while closing oversight loopholes. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission is expected to play a key role in the proposed regulatory structure.
